3-Day Robotic Workshop Timeline
Day 1: Introduction to Robotics and Basic Electronics
◉ The workshop began with an engaging introduction to
the world of robotics, sparking curiosity among the
students. ◉ Students were introduced to the
fundamentals of electronics, including Ohm’s Law,
resistors, LEDs, batteries, and other essential
electronic components. They explored the concept of
robotics and its applications in the real world. ◉
An introduction to the ESP32 microcontroller was
given, highlighting its capabilities. ◉ Students
practiced basic programming by writing their first
code to blink an LED using the ESP32 on a breadboard.
Hardware Assembly – 4-Wheel Drive Robot
◉ Students were introduced to the 4WD robot kit and
learned about its key components: DC motors, L298N
motor driver, ESP32 microcontroller, and battery
packs. ◉ They began the mechanical assembly of
the robot chassis. ◉ Complete wiring of the
components was done under supervision, helping
students understand motor control circuits and power
distribution. ◉ By the end of the day, each
student had a fully assembled and wired 4WD robot.
Day 3: Programming, Testing, and Competition
◉ Students programmed their 4WD robots using the ESP32
to enable basic movement and remote control
functionality. ◉ After successful programming,
they tested their robots and made necessary
adjustments. ◉ The workshop concluded with an
exciting competition where students raced their
robots. ◉ Winners were awarded prizes, and all
